In October of 2023, I began to use a more portable canvas. I bought a 12 pack of kraft paper sticky notes. The venture began as a way to participate in Inktober. I did a parallel challenge where I made the attempt to either use the Inktober Challenge or draw a Zentangle. I cannot remember how many days I actually finished but I know I came close to finishing the month.

I liked the convenience of the size and adhesiveness of sticky notes. The kraft paper just felt like it screamed drawing paper. I found the size of the paper to be encouraging when it came to attempting new ideas or techniques. I appreciated the perfect symmetrical proportions too.

I still use my kraft paper sticky note pads on the go. It’s perfectly pocket-size and the paper doesn’t move as I draw or erase a line or two.
