I drew this in one of two of my signature styles. A former co-worker dubbed my letting or my other various “thorny” styles as barbed wire art and it just kind of stuck with me.

I drew the word LIFT in all caps as a sort of rallying cry on watercolor paper. I dotted the “I” with a heart because it felt necessary. I added distress inks over the paper and then went over it with water to add the watercolor paint effect.

To finalize the piece I filled in the letters with a paint marker and used a watercolor pencil.
