This is one of my favorite poems! I originally wrote this in 2006 and submitted it to Henry Ford Community College’s (now known as Henry Ford College) Poetry Contest. I won 2nd prize. It has since appeared in a couple newsletters. I gave it new life in the above piece by smudging it with distress inks and cut-out clouds. Voila! This piece is available in my shop.
