Another Pages in Stages in my Sk’etchbook volume 3-ish. I have mixed feelings about my Cerulean Sk’etchbook (journal). I have to be careful about how hard I erase my “mistakes” because it sometimes tear the perforated pages. In the meantime the paper handles markers reasonably well. There are advantages and disadvantages with everything. Also it may be a helpful reminder that mistakes in art shouldn’t matter. Art isn’t just about the outcome it’s more about the journey.

Most of the time I start all my sk’etches with pencil lines. If I like it enough I outline the piece with either a Micron pen or Fabre-Castell (Pitt Artist Pen).

In the picture above my “Lotus” is posing with my favorite mediums. I used Sharpie markers to color my piece. I colored the inner leaves purple and the two outlines (auroras) blue and green.

In the final stage of my sk’etch I colored the smaller leaves green. I added some lines and dots inside to add a bit of an embellishment.
